Your team trained in AI. With evidence you can show.
Article 4 of the EU AI Act requires a sufficient level of AI literacy since February 2025, and national supervision starts in August 2026. The Passport leaves what a regulator or client will want to see: training, assessment and a record per employee.
What the Passport includes
01
Role-based sessions
Sales doesn't need what finance needs. Each area trains on documents and cases from its own work, not textbook examples.
02
Rules applied
Your company's policy woven into the training: which data goes in, which tools are used and what to do when in doubt.
03
Short assessment
A final questionnaire per employee that demonstrates real understanding — not a signature on an attendance sheet.
04
Record and registry
An individual document per employee and a consolidated internal registry: who trained, on what, when and with what result.
What Article 4 of the AI Act requires
Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 requires providers and deployers of AI systems to ensure a sufficient level of AI literacy among the people who operate or use those systems. The European Commission does not impose one fixed format: the company must show a proportionate, documented effort. The Passport leaves internal evidence per employee: training, assessment, applied rules and records ready for review.
What a cohort looks like
Live 90-minute sessions per department, remote, maximum 12 people. Each session combines three things: real cases from the team, guided practice with the approved tools, and the limits set by your company's policy. Afterwards: role-based templates and prompts ready to use, individual assessment and onboarding material for future hires. Cohorts are recorded for anyone who missed them.
What remains documented
Each cohort leaves concrete traceability: content delivered, attendees, assessment result, individual record and a consolidated internal registry. Your legal counsel keeps the final legal view; Lumen delivers the operational evidence the company needs to support its AI literacy effort.
The point is choosing the right level of control.
Is training my staff mandatory?
If your company uses AI systems, Article 4 applies since 2 February 2025, whatever your size. National supervision and penalty structures operate from August 2026. What counts as 'sufficient' depends on context — that is what we define with you and document.
Does it help with large-client audits?
That is its most frequent use. When a corporate client asks how you control AI, the per-employee training registry plus the usage policy answer half the vendor questionnaire.
How often is it renewed?
We recommend a light annual update (models and rules change) and onboarding training for each new hire. Both are included in the monthly operation if you contract it; otherwise they are scheduled on demand.
August 2026 is already here.
